2. Chemical Methods

- Spray on the joint of the bolt and nut.
- Wait a few minutes for the oil to penetrate the rust.
- Re-application: For very tight bolts, several applications may be necessary.
3. Mechanical Methods
- Use the appropriate wrench or socket; grip the bolt head or nut without stripping or rounding it.
- Impact method (impact wrench or hammer): Helps loosen the bolt, should be applied carefully.
- Heat application: The metal around the bolt expands, reducing tightness; however, do not use if plastic or flammable materials are present.
4. Additional Tips
- If the bolt is very rusty, cleaning with rust cleaner first, then applying penetrant, is more effective.
- After the bolt is removed, lubrication or anti-corrosion coating should be applied to the joint.
- In cases of recurring tightness, small movements with thread-cutting taps or a screwdriver can be applied.
