  3. Check material compatibility: Select pump diaphragm, valve, and housing materials suitable for the chemical's properties.
  4. Choose pump type: Is a diaphragm, piston, or peristaltic pump suitable for the need?
  5. Accuracy and automation: Determine the process's control and automation requirements.
  6. Safety and certification: Check compliance with industry-specific standards.
  7. Maintenance and operating cost: Evaluate ease of service and long-term cost.
